Awards and Titles Received

Awards and titles received by Sultan Hamengkubuwono X, as follows:

1. Sasangko Minangkabau

Sri Sultan Hamengkubuwono X was given a title from Minangkabau in an Indigenous Assembly at Istano Pagaruyuang, Batusangkar, Tanah Datar District, on Monday, April 29, 2002. The title name Sasangko Minangkabau was given to Sri Sultan Hamengkubuwono X that marked with wearing tanjak (headband) and keris (dagger). Meanwhile, given the title Sasangko Minangkabau, Sri Sultan Hamengkubuwono X will also hold the title Yang Dipatuan Maharajo Sati.

2. Datuk Sri Amanah Dwi Wangsa

The title from Riau Malay Province was given to Sri Sultan Hamengkubuwono X on Thursday, June 26, 2003, by Riau Malay Customary Institution (LAMR). The title name Datuk Sri Amanah Dwi Wangsa was marked with reading warkah pengukuhan (inaugural warkah) by the Head of Riau Malay Customary Institution (LAMR), H. Tenas Effendi, and marked with wearing tanjak (headband) by Datuk Setia Amanah, H. Djasit Saleh, SH who was the Governor of Riau Province.

3. Siambe’ Tulak Langi

This is a title of Toraja indigenous nobility (Tunas Emas Manusia Datang dari La­ngit). As a whole, in 2008, the title given to Sri Sultan Hamengkubuwono X was pronounced to be Siambe’ Tulak Langi, Taruk Bulaanna to Manurun di Langi’, Balo’ Siosso’na Tanah Jawa, Tadung Matoto’na Jogyakarta, Lalong Paleleanna Nusan­tara  (Human Gold Bud Come from Heaven, enthroned Light Jewels of Java, Yogyakarta substantial Leader, Nusantara Great Knights).

4. Datuk Pengayom Seri Wanua

It is the customary title of South Sumatra. The awarding ceremony took place in the coronation ceremony of Honorary Degree at Griya Agung Palembang, South Sumatra, on Saturday, November 10, 2009. It was marked with wearing tanjak (headband) and selendang (a shawl) by the Head of the Board of Customs Development of South Sumatra, Prof. Dr. H. Mahyuddin NS. Sp.OG. continued with wearing keris pusaka (holy dagger) by Ir. RMH. Mahmud Iskandar Badarudin.

5. Ti Tulutani Lo Toyunuta

It is the result of dulohupa (a conference held by all customary figures in Gorontalo province) as the suggestion from governor of Gorontalo, the holder of title name Tapulu Te Lo Madala, Fadel Muhammad. The title award was arranged on Thursday, October 23, 2010, in Gorontalo. The title Tulutani Ti Lo Toyunutu means a leader who hereditarily Serving the Country.
